Allison Mack: “Smallville” Actor Released From Prison After Role In Luring Women Into Keith Raniere’s Sex-Trafficking Cult
Actress Allison Mack has been released from prison after serving sentence for her role in luring women into a human trafficking ring called the NXIVM to become sex slaves.
Allison Mack is known for her role as a young Superman’s close friend in the movie “Smallville,” was sentenced to three years in jail in 2021. She had pleaded guilty two years earlier to charges that she manipulated women into becoming sex slaves for NXIVM leader Keith Raniere.
The 40-year-old was released on Monday from a federal prison in Dublin, California, near San Francisco, according to online records by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Allison Mack was able to get a short prison sentence by cooperating with federal authorities in their case against Raniere, who was ultimately sentenced to 120 years in prison after being convicted on sex-trafficking charges.
She was also required to do 1,000 hours of community service as part of her sentence.
During the investigation into Keith Raniere, Mack helped prosecutors get evidence that detailed how Raniere created the NXIVM secret society that had brainwashed women who were branded with his initials and forced to have sex with him.
Mack allegedly recruited women to a secretive smaller group known as DOS or “The Vow.” where she was known as the “master” and was second in command to Raniere – the only male in the group. The group was said to be focused on women’s empowerment and mentorship.
According to court filings, DOS members were required to be filmed naked during the branding. Prosecutors also alleged members were forced “to perform labor, take nude photographs and in some cases, engage in sexual acts with Raniere.”
Other members of the group included an heiress to the Seagram’s liquor fortune, Clare Bronfman; and a daughter of TV star Catherine Oxenberg of “Dynasty” fame.

Mexican drug lord El Chapo’s wife Emma Coronel who was also sentenced to three years in jail on drug trafficking-related charges has also been released.
I Get Talk reported that the 34-year-old was sentenced to three years in prison in 2021 after pleading guilty to three counts of helping the Sinaloa drug cartel, including conspiracy to launder money and distribute illegal drugs.
Her sentence was later reduced after Coronel had quickly accepted responsibility and agreed to forfeit nearly $1.5 million of proceeds to the US from her criminal activity.
The Bureau of Prisons said on its website it would release Coronel on Wednesday from a low-security confinement institution in Los Angeles.
In court, she admitted to acting as a courier between Guzman, who led the cartel, while he was being held in prison, and other organization members.
Coronel was also given a further two years of supervised release.
Coronel has two daughters with Guzman, whom she met when she was young and married in 2007 at age 18.
The fight against the sales and use of hard drugs continues after the death of Michael K. Williams whose cause of death was attributed to drug overdose.
After a picture-evidence of the illicit trade in broad daylight was brought forward, a drug dealer pleaded guilty to selling the dose of fentanyl-laced heroin that killed the actor.
According to Michael K. Williams’s attorney Damien Williams, the drug dealer named Irvin Cartagena, also called Green Eyes, sold the drug “in broad daylight in New York City, feeding addiction and causing tragedy”.
“He dealt the fatal dose that killed Michael K Williams”.
“This office and our law enforcement partners will continue to hold accountable the dealers who push this poison, exploit addiction, and cause senseless death in our community,” he added.
